This Privacy Policy explains what information Broker Black ("we," "us") collects on thebrokerblack.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your deal profile lives in your own browser, anything you submit goes only to your Broker, and nothing is shared with any dealership until you say so.
Your deal profile (credit score range, down payment, trade-in numbers, term, location), your saved garage, and your Concierge chat history are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us except as needed to calculate quotes when you use the Service. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
When you ask about a car, request a cash offer, lock in a deal, or use the trade-in tool, we collect what you provide: your name, phone, email, vehicle details (including VIN and mileage), your deal numbers, and any message you write. When you chat with the Concierge, your messages and deal profile are processed to generate responses.
Your information goes to your Broker, and only your Broker. We do not share your personal information with any dealership until you tell us to. You work with your Broker until you are ready to go to, or speak with, the dealer. When you authorize sharing, we share only what is needed to progress your deal with the dealership you chose.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers to run the Service, and they process data only on our behalf: website hosting and storage, vehicle listing and valuation data providers (your VIN and mileage are sent to a valuation provider when you request a trade-in value), and an AI provider that processes Concierge conversations to generate responses. These providers do not receive your contact information for their own use.
Broker Black does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. We use browser storage for the features described above. Listing photos are loaded with a no-referrer policy, so image hosts do not learn which pages you visit.
Submitted requests are retained while we work your deal and for our business records afterward. You may request deletion at any time (Section 10).
The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; do not submit information you consider highly sensitive, and never submit your social security number, which we do not ask for and do not want.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
