Ceramic window tint uses microscopic ceramic particles instead of dye or metal to reject heat. The result: dramatically better infrared (heat) rejection and 99% UV blocking at any darkness level, no signal interference with GPS or phones, and no purple fade over time. In Arizona and Nevada summers, it is the difference you can feel getting into a parked car.
Because heat rejection comes from the ceramic particles rather than darkness, a light, fully legal ceramic film can out-cool a dark dyed film. Darkness and heat rejection are separate choices.

In hot-sun states, usually yes: the heat and UV difference is what you are paying for, and it does not fade. In mild climates the gap matters less.
