Brand guide

Volvo lineup.

Volvo has gone all-in on SUVs for the US: the sedans and wagons are gone, and what remains is a focused lineup of refined, safety-obsessed crossovers from the compact XC40 to the seven-seat XC90 and electric EX90. Every one leads with the safety engineering Volvo built its name on.

Every new Volvo carries a 4 year / 50,000 mile new vehicle warranty, and EVs add an 8 year / 100,000 mile battery warranty. Many model years also include 3 years / 36,000 miles of complimentary factory scheduled maintenance, but that varies by model year, so confirm it on the specific year you buy.

Questions.

Does Volvo still sell sedans or wagons in the US?

No. The S60 sedan ended production in 2024, the S90 left the US lineup after 2025, and the V60 Cross Country wagon wrapped up in 2026. Volvo's US lineup is now all SUVs, from the XC40 to the electric EX90. Some remaining wagon inventory may still surface at dealers.

What do Volvo's Core, Plus, and Ultra trims mean?

Volvo uses one simple trim ladder across the lineup. Core is the well-equipped entry, Plus adds the comfort and convenience features most buyers want, and Ultra is the loaded flagship. Engine choices like B5 mild hybrid or T8 plug-in hybrid are selected separately on most models.

Does a new Volvo come with free maintenance?

Volvo has included 3 years / 36,000 miles of complimentary factory scheduled maintenance on many recent model years, but the terms vary by model year. Confirm what applies to the specific year and model you are buying before you sign.

Are Volvos really the safest cars on the road?

Volvo invented the three-point seatbelt and gave the patent away, and the obsession never stopped. Current models routinely sweep IIHS Top Safety Pick awards, and the EX90 adds standard lidar that detects hazards in darkness far beyond headlight range. No brand leans harder into safety engineering.

What is a T8 plug-in hybrid and is it worth it?

T8 models pair a turbocharged engine with a plug-in battery for around 455 hp total and roughly 33 to 35 miles of electric-only driving. Charge at home and most Arizona and Nevada commutes become gas-free, with the full engine ready for road trips. It is the sweet spot if you want electric daily driving without range anxiety.
