Brand guide

Alfa Romeo lineup.

Alfa Romeo sells three vehicles in the US, and all three prioritize the same thing: how the car feels from the driver's seat. The Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV remain the best-steering cars in their classes even late in their production runs, and the Tonale compact brings the badge under $45K. Next-generation Giulia and Stelvio models are in development, which means the current cars are being sold with real incentives.

Every new Alfa Romeo carries a 4 year / 50,000 mile basic warranty with roadside assistance for the same term.

Questions.

Are Alfa Romeos reliable?

Better than the reputation, not best-in-class. Early Giulia and Stelvio builds had electrical gremlins, but later model years improved meaningfully and the mechanical bits have proven durable. Buy new for the full warranty, or buy late-production used, and the risk is manageable.

What happened to the Quadrifoglio models?

The 505 hp Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio ended their US run after 2025 with final editions. Alfa has signaled performance flagships will return with the next-generation cars, so used Quadrifoglios are already trading as future classics.

Did the Tonale lose its plug-in hybrid?

Yes. For 2026 the Tonale drops the PHEV and consolidates around a 268 hp turbo four with standard AWD, which is both more powerful and simpler than the old hybrid setup.

Is an Alfa Romeo expensive to maintain?

Costs run above mainstream brands and roughly in line with other European luxury marques. Scheduled maintenance is unremarkable; it is the out-of-warranty electronics that can sting, so an extended warranty is worth pricing if you plan to keep the car long.

Should I wait for the new Giulia and Stelvio?

Next-generation models are in development but not on sale, and timelines have moved around. If you want the current cars' character, buy now while incentives are strong. If you want the newest platform and hybrid or electric options, waiting is reasonable.
